Hickok Family Festival & Brain Dash

Please join us on Saturday June 10 2023 for the 1st Annual Hickok Family Festival and Brain Dash to benefit the Hickok Center for Brain Injury. The races will take place at Black Creek Park’s Woodside Lodge located at 3830 Union St, North Chili, NY.

NEW FOR 2023!

Introducing our cornhole tournament! Running from 11am to 2pm, guaranteeing all day fun!!
Each team includes 2 people, 64 teams for an epic showdown!
The price of entry is $10 per person or $20 per team.
You have the option to purchase a ‘Swag Bag’ for an additional cost.



The Family Festival is family friendly, outdoors, and a fundraiser!

With 20+ vendors and booths with varying goods and services to satisfy the shop-a-holic in all of us!

Come with the kids to experience FREE activities such as the Sports Combo bounce house by Adventures in Climbing and air brush face painting by Arlene’s Costumes plus so much more!

***LIVE MUSIC*** will be performed by Blue Envy throughout the afternoon while you enjoy the Family Festival.

FREE snacks, Pizza, Bagels and Coffee while it lasts! 

Donate to the Hickok Center and participant in activities such as our Basket Raffles and Pinatas!
Take a larger risk and try to win the Prize Wheel and receive our Grand Prize!!


This is a NON-TIMED fun run. We want to focus more on community than on competition.
Prizes will be awarded based on philanthropic deeds, with a few funny ones thrown in.
After the Brain Dash, join us for our FREE Family Festival!!

All races will start and finish in Black Creek Park in front of Woodside Lodge.
Race starts at 11:30am.

Online registration will remain open right up until race time. You will be able to register at the starting line if you so choose (but we might not have any ‘Swag Bag’s left!). Race day registration and packet pickup will take place at Woodside Lodge starting at 11:00am.

Select your participation level:

Dasher: wants to run in the 2k. Includes ‘Swag Bag’. $25 through April 30th, and increases to $30 through race day.
Mini Dasher: wants to run in the 2k. Under the age of 12. Includes ‘Swag Bag’.
Bench Warmer: wants to support a runner/ team rather than run themselves AND wants a ‘Swag Bag’. For general donations/ sponsorships of a team or individual, go to the Donate Tab at the top of the page.
Partier: just here for the Family Festival and the merch. Includes a ‘Swag Bag’.

All participants who register by May 15th are guaranteed to receive an official race shirt in their designated size. The first 100 registered adults and 50 reigistered kids are guaranteed an official Hickok ‘Swag Bag’. You may change your contact information/ shirt size up to May 15th.

Teams will receive a $2 discount for each team member with Promo Code TEAM.

Virtual Registration Option
Can’t make the race… Participate virtually! Simply sign up for the Virtual Dasher option and you get to choose the location and time to get out on your own and run/walk between 6/1/2023 to 6/17/2023. Feel free to use the FREE IYR Virtual App to track and score your run. You will also be able to manually enter your finish time directly to the IYR Results Page starting on 6/10/2023.
You have the option to have your ‘Swag Bag’ shipped to you for a $5 shipping fee (Continental USA only for shipping). The ‘Swag Bag’ will not be shipped until AFTER the Hickok Family Festival and Brain Dash has concluded. If you would like to instead pick-up your ‘Swag Bag’ from the Hickok Center, please contact Isabella Edwards at iedwards@hickokcenter.org

Swag Bag

Hickok ‘Swag Bags’ will be given to each registered Dasher and Partier. Bench Warmers have the option to purchase a ‘Swag Bag’ for an additional fee. Your ‘Swag Bag’ will be picked up at the registration table when you sign in. For anyone not attending the Hickok Family Festival and Brain Dash, they have the option to pick up their ‘Swag Bag’ from the Hickok Center for Brain Injury, Inc. or to have their ‘Swag Bag’ shipped for an additional $5 shipping fee. Both pickup and shipping will begin on June 12th.

Awards will be presented based on philanthropic deeds and for fun categories.

Traveling Trivia: Stop #4

Join us August 12 for our 4th Stop in our Traveling Trivia series at Smokin’ Hot Chicks BBQ in Fairport from 12:00pm to 3:00pm; the Trivia Game starts at 12:30pm!
You do not have to pay to attend the event, you can watch and enjoy the game, but a $5 donation is appreciated.
To play trivia, participation is $10 PER PLAYER for preregistration, and $12 PER PLAYER at the door, so go ahead and register your team early to save money. Don’t worry, you can pay the fee at the door. Each team must include 1 – 6 players. The winning team wins a gift card to Smokin’ Hot Chicks BBQ, and there are other opportunities to win other prizes throughout the game.
Not good with trivia? Don’t worry! You can still win a prize with one of our awesome raffle baskets!
There will also be a specialty drink available for all guests over 21. A portion of the proceeds from the specialty drink will go toward the Hickok Center.
All proceeds from this event will go toward the Hickok Center for Brain Injury, Inc., a non profit 501(c)(3).

3rd Annual Casino Night & Shopping

Join us on Sunday, October 8 from 3pm – 6pm at Comedy @ the Carlson for our 3rd annual Casino Night and Shopping!

Along with Upstate Vegas Events & Shopping for a Cause, the Hickok Center invites you to join us for our annual Casino Night & Shopping Fundraiser!!!

Your $10 Admission fee provides you with “FUN MONEY” (additional “fun money available for purchase!) to be used at a variety of casino gaming tables (Black Jack, Texas Hold ‘Em, Roulette & More!).

Take a break from the action and shop one of the many vendors that will be around the gaming floor or play a family-friendly game!

Prize Wheel, 50/50 & Basket Raffles will be up for grabs!
Food & Drink available for purchase!
